The Phases

The first phase (end of 2003)

The plan has been illustrated in Warsaw during the VI CEI Summit of 19-21 November 2003. Unioncamere of Rome and Unioncamere of Piedmont have supported the participation in the event.
The result of the presentation was positive and we collected a lot of expressions of interest from many Chambers of Commerce and other Organization of CEI Countries.

The second phase (January – November 2004)

This phase is divided in 3 different steps:

1. the animation path (3 - 14 May 2004)
   It took place in Vercelli by the Chamber of Commerce and was addressed to 15 Country Representatives coming from 5 countries – national representatives appointed with international functions, chosen among the members of the participating organizations (National and Local Cambers of Commerce and other economic associations) – to show and explain, with the aid of direct testimonies and Company visits, the functioning of Italian System for SMEs and how the supporting instruments work.
   In the meantime, we will establish exchanges of meetings and experiences among the representatives of the Chambers of Commerce
2. constitution of groups of young entrepreneurs and professionals
   Each partner of the Project will constitute by its seat a group of young entrepreneurs and professionals, paying special attention to the women component.
   These groups should be composed of exponents from the most important economic sectors of their areas in order to be representative of the local economic reality.
3. constitution of the “Coordination Centre for Young Entrepreneurs and Professionals of the CEI countries – CECCI”
   The Chamber of Commerce of Vercelli will establish and manage a Coordination Centre for Young Entrepreneurs and Professionals of the CEI countries - CECCI, which would coordinate the groups of young entrepreneurs and professionals of the CEI area constituted by means of the Project.
   The Coordination Centre will manage especially:
   • the creation of a website specific for the Project
   • the tutoring of the working groups
   • the coordination of the exchanges of delegations
   • the start-up of commercial partnership

   The establishment of the Coordination Centre for Young Entrepreneurs and Professionals of the CEI countries – CECCI will improve the entrepreneurial and intersectorial culture of the local groups and increase the collaboration between enterprises and the structures at their disposal. It will also:

   • Establish connections between economic systems and develop personal relationships between entrepreneurs;
   • Increase the international visibility of the territory and the entrepreneurial system of the areas involved;
   • Improve the knowledge of different economic systems and of the foreign markets;
   • Create a network of partnership among enterprises and a preferential lane for the enterprises of the countries involved;
   • Manage the exchanging of delegations.
   As end of the second phase of the Project, the Chamber of Commerce of Vercelli will participate in the 7th CEI Summit Economic Forum of Portoroz, in Slovenia the next 24-26 November. During the Summit will be illustrated the main results obtained till then and the follow up prospects expected from the third phase of the Project.

The third phase (December 2004 – December 2005)

It represents part of the operational activity of the Coordination Centre for Young Entrepreneurs and Professionals of the CEI countries – CECCI. It also includes:

• the animation of groups of young managers
  The Representatives who participated at the animation path in Vercelli, will become trainer and will transmit, with the aid of lecture notes and multimedia materials, the animation techniques learned to the groups established by each partner organisation.
  The animation will be managed also with the help of the Italian groups of young entrepreneurs/professionals acting as tutors and assistants.
  In this contest a specific role will be played by the Women Entrepreneurship Committee of the Chamber of Commerce that, in the D’IMPRESA Project context, will carry out activities of sensibilization, promotion and monitoring of the women part of the working groups established in the partner Countries.
• the assistance in the Market
  The economic operators and the representatives of interested Organizations and Institutions, individually or in groups, will be addressed by the Coordination Centre to the Representatives of the local Chambers of Commerce or CEI Economic Organization that will support them for further operating contacts in their own marketplaces.
  The Coordination Centre will collaborate together with the Chambers of Commerce and the Economic Organizations to help the interested subjects of the new markets, and will provide for the organizations of visits of CEI Countries delegations to Italian enterprises and Institutions.
